Kine: Plant-based, in more places

Updated 19/07/2026: to include note on available multipacks

When we launched Kine in 2024, we set out to fix one specific frustration. The wipes Australians were buying for their bodies and their babies were almost all imported, almost all loaded with plastic, and almost all destined for landfill. We wanted to make a better one. Plant-based, plastic-free, made here in Australia, and certified flushable to AS/NZS 5328 so the moments it mattered most, you could actually flush with confidence.

Two years later, those Body Cloths and Baby Cloths are still the heart of what we do. They are not changing. The recipe, the certifications, and the promise that started this brand are exactly where they have always been.

What is changing is everything else.

Today we are introducing four new Kine cloths, each designed for a different part of your daily life. Hand Cloths. Pet Cloths. Surface Cloths. And Makeup Removal Cloths. Same plant-based fibres. Same Australian-made promise. Same belief that everyday products do not need to be made from plastic to do their job. Just four new places to find Kine in your home.

Why we are growing the range

When we asked our customers what they wished Kine made, the answers came back fast. A hand wipe for the school bag. Something for the dog after a beach walk. A surface wipe that did not smell like a hospital. A makeup wipe that their dermatologist would not roll their eyes at. The pattern was clear. People who had switched their body and baby wipes to Kine wanted to make the same switch everywhere else in the house, and they could not find anything in the same category that met the same standard.

So we built four products that did. Each one is formulated specifically for its job, with ingredients that suit the use case rather than borrowed from a generic wipe formula. Each one is made in Australia from 100% plant-based fibres. Each one is biodegradable, never plastic, and designed to go in your green bin or general waste rather than another decade in landfill.

The brand promise has not moved. We have just made it apply in more places.

What stays exactly the same

Our flushable Body Cloths and Baby Cloths are still the heroes. They are still the only Kine cloths certified flushable to AS/NZS 5328. They still use the same gentle plant-based formulations they have always used. The Body Cloths still come in the original 25 pack and the 10 pack travel size. The Baby Cloths still come in the family-friendly 80 pack. Nothing has changed about the products that built this brand.

And every Kine product, old and new, still ticks the same boxes:

  • Made in Australia
  • 100% plant-based fibres
  • No synthetic plastics in the cloth
  • Biodegradable

Those four things are non-negotiable across every Kine product, and they always will be.

What is new

The four new cloths join the range as the answer to four very specific moments in everyday Australian life.

Hand Cloths

Antibacterial, alcohol-free, and gentle enough for daily use. Native eucalyptus and lemon myrtle for the scent. Kills 99.99% of germs. Safe enough for a school bag, a work bag, or a handbag. Two pack sizes, a 25 pack for the kitchen drawer and a 10 pack travel size for the moments when you need them with you.

Pet Cloths

Plant-based and gentle, formulated with colloidal oatmeal, jojoba, aloe vera, and Vitamin E. Designed for the daily use moments between baths, after the muddy walk, the wet beach, the road home. Safe for daily use on dogs and cats.

Surface Cloths

Kills 99.99% of germs on non-porous kitchen, bathroom, and high-touch surfaces. Native eucalyptus and rosemary instead of synthetic fragrance. No bleach, no chlorine, no harsh smell hanging in the kitchen after you wipe the bench. The surface cloth you can actually leave on the counter.

Makeup Removal Cloths

A true micellar cleansing system, designed for the cloth. Coconut-derived gentle surfactants paired with humectants that hydrate during the cleanse rather than stripping the skin. The embossed plant-based fabric is engineered to complement the micellar solution, lifting makeup with less friction on delicate facial skin. Dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.

How they fit alongside the originals

Think of it less as Kine becoming a different brand, and more as Kine showing up in more places. The Body Cloths are still for body freshen-ups, post-shower, post-workout, post-travel. The Baby Cloths are still for the change table, the lunchbox, and the daily routine of life with a small person. The four new cloths cover everything else: the moments your hands need a quick clean before food, the moments the dog has rolled in something, the moments you need to wipe the bench before guests arrive, the moments at the end of a long day when full skincare is not happening.

Each product carries the same clear disposal advice. The Body and Baby Cloths can still be flushed. The four new ones cannot, and they say so on the pack. They go in your council green bin where FOGO services support it, or your general waste otherwise. Honesty about where each product belongs is part of what we have always tried to get right.

A note on what we mean by "expansion"

We are not adding products to add products. Every cloth in this new range had to pass the same internal test our originals did. Could we make it in Australia? Could we make it from plant-based fibres? Could we genuinely improve on what is already on the shelf? If the answer to any of those was no, the product did not get made.

Thankfully, we get to choose how the brand grows. We have chosen to grow it carefully, in places where we believe we can make a real difference rather than chasing every adjacent category we could plausibly stretch into. The four new cloths are the result of that careful choice.

Where to find them

All four new cloths are live in the Kine.com.au shop today, alongside the Body Cloths and Baby Cloths you already know. Each one has its own product page with full ingredient lists, sizing, disposal guidance, and the same plain-English approach we have always taken to telling you what is in the box.

If you have been a Kine customer since the beginning, thank you. Genuinely. The fact that you trusted us with your body and baby cloths is what gave us the confidence to broaden the range, and we hope the new four earn the same place in your home.

And if you are new here, welcome. We are glad you found us.

Same Kine. Bigger reach. Better everyday.

Kine for you. Kine for your home. Kine for the environment.
